The OLE DB Driver for SQL Server is a stand-alone data access application programming interface (API), used for OLE DB. OLE DB Driver for SQL Server is available on Windows and delivers the SQL OLE DB driver in one dynamic-link library (DLL).

This download will install a set of components that facilitate the transfer of data between existing Microsoft Office files such as Microsoft Office Access 2010 (.mdb and.accdb) files and Microsoft Office Excel 2010 (.xls,.xlsx, and.xlsb) files to other data sources such as Microsoft SQL Server. The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.16.0' provider is not registered on the local machine. Jet for Access, Excel and Txt on 64 bit systems. This article explains how to use Jet to connect an application to Access, Excel or Text data files on 64 bit systems. The Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Jet and the Jet ODBC driver are available in 32-bit versions only. You can't run them in 64 bit mode.

Microsoft Jet Oledb 4.0 Driver

The redistributable installer for Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server installs the client components required during run time to take advantage of newer SQL Server features. Starting with version 18.3, the installer also includes and installs the Microsoft Active Directory Authentication Library (ADAL.dll).

Microsoft OLE DB Driver 18.6 for SQL Server is the latest general availability (GA) version. If you have a previous version of Microsoft OLE DB Driver 18 for SQL Server installed, installing 18.6 upgrades it to 18.6.
